Blood Orange Paste is a concentrated flavouring paste developed for use in the food industry, particularly for ice cream and confectionery applications. It delivers a typical blood orange taste and aroma, with a vibrant red colour and a smooth, viscous texture.
The product is made using 30% orange juice from concentrate, combined with sugar and glucose syrup, and is stabilized with modified starch. Colour is naturally supported by black carrot concentrate and beta-carotene, while acidity is balanced with citric acid and sodium citrate. Potassium sorbate is used as a preservative, and ascorbic acid as an antioxidant.
Blood Orange Paste is not intended for direct consumption and should be used as an ingredient in food manufacturing. The recommended dosage is 50 g per 1 kg of mix, resulting in a final fruit content of approximately 1.5%.
It is supplied in sealed PP packaging, ensuring product stability and hygiene. The paste should be stored in clean conditions, away from heat, light, and freezing, at 5–25°C. After opening, it should be refrigerated at 0–8°C. Shelf life is 24 months under recommended storage conditions.
The product complies with EU food safety, contaminant, GMO, allergen, and packaging regulations and has not been treated with ionizing radiation.
