Luxara 206-46 Locust Bean Gum is a highly purified powdered locust bean gum derived from the ground endosperm of the seeds of Ceratonia siliqua. It is designed to deliver effective thickening, stabilisation, and texture enhancement across a wide range of food applications.
The product disperses readily in cold water and requires heating to 80 °C or above to fully hydrate and dissolve, developing viscosity on cooling. Luxara 206-46 is typically used at levels of 0.1–0.7% w/w and is suitable for applications including ice cream, sauces, gravies, soft cheeses, dessert gels, and meat products, where improved body, mouthfeel, and stability are required.
Processed and packed in the United Kingdom using locust bean gum sourced from Spain, Greece, and Turkey, Luxara 206-46 is manufactured in accordance with current UK and EU food legislation and stringent food safety and quality standards. The product is suitable for vegetarians, vegans, coeliacs, lactose-intolerant consumers, and nut allergy sufferers, and is certified Halal and Kosher (Pareve, non-Passover). It is non-GMO, non-irradiated, and does not contain or utilise nanotechnology.
Luxara 206-46 Locust Bean Gum is supplied in 25 kg food-grade packaging and has a shelf life of 24 months when stored in unopened, undamaged packaging in a cool, dry environment below 25 °C.
