{"id":925,"date":"2019-01-18T07:59:24","date_gmt":"2019-01-18T07:59:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.takeawaysupplies.co.uk\/blog\/?p=925"},"modified":"2022-07-01T08:11:33","modified_gmt":"2022-07-01T08:11:33","slug":"meet-the-team-joshua-ellingworth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.takeawaysupplies.co.uk\/blog\/meet-the-team-joshua-ellingworth\/","title":{"rendered":"Meet the Team: Joshua Ellingworth"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>How Did You Get started in your career at Takeaway Supplies? <\/h2>\n<p>My Career started at Takeaway Supplies in July 2017 as a Business Admin \/ Digital Marketing apprentice, I have been welcomed with open arms into a lovely hard-working family business and I will continue to do my best for them in the future and I am very excited for what the future holds for Takeaway Supplies.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>How Did you get where you are today? <\/h2>\n<p>My education after school continued with 2 Years of Media \/ Computer Studies at Ashton Sixth Form College, I then did well enough to earn a place at UCFB University studying Football Business and Media in which I completed the first year and gained a higher level 5 qualification, but then second year wasn\u2019t for me and I fell out of enjoyment and love for the course and financially I felt like this wasn\u2019t worth it so my University career ended in early 2017. As I now needed to find income, I found myself working at Fifth Nightclub as a Barman in Manchester to keep myself going even though this was night shifts and little hours and I found myself with a horrible sleeping pattern. After 4 Months at Fifth I decided I needed to look at getting back into looking at a full time career and this is when I came across TAS Group, this was a career I have been looking for since I left school and I did everything I could to try and get the job (even though I was working a night shift before the interview) so I did my best to try and not look tired! And thankfully he hired me and I am forever grateful as I am now very happy here.<\/p>\n<h2>What Experience Does a Person in a Career Like Yours Experience?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Hard-Working<\/li>\n<li>Organisation<\/li>\n<li>Product Knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Computer Software<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What Inspires You?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Determination<\/li>\n<li>To make and keep my Colleagues happy<\/li>\n<li>Never Giving Up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What Skills should someone have if they want to start a career like yours?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work in office and Warehouse flexibly <\/li>\n<li>Different Computer software and how to use it<\/li>\n<li>Customer knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Communication Skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What Advice has stuck with you for a long time and who gave you that advice?<\/h2>\n<p>\u2018\u2019I\u2019ve come to realise that the only people I need in my life are the ones who need me in theirs, even when I have nothing else to offer them but myself\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<h2>What are the best things you\u2019ve learned over the past year?<\/h2>\n<p>I have learned a lot about the Ice Cream industry and how TAS Group works through a Hot Summer, through a season and through a year. Knowing where products are in the warehouse, putting delivery\u2019s away and organising pallets I also learned to make sure Pallet orders and packed correctly and nothing will be damaged with heavy on the bottom and light on top and wrapped efficiently for departure to the customer.
