Everybody, okay, almost everybody loves ice-cream. Ice-cream takes us back to our childhood, days on the beach, long summer afternoons, soft scoop, chocolate flakes and sprinkles . . . oh, I\u2019m there already.<\/p>\n
Whilst the ice-cream of our childhood consisted mainly of Vanilla with the occasional Lemon Sorbet, Raspberry Ripple and Mint Choc Chip there are some rather quirky and unusual ice-cream flavours around the world.<\/p>\n
Breast Milk Ice Cream \u2013 you don\u2019t have to travel to the far corners of the earth for this one, just to London. It did create rather a stir when it was first introduced with the name \u201cBaby Gaga\u201d which a certain pop singer took rather badly to.\u00a0 The ice cream was flavoured with lemon zest and vanilla pods so it wasn\u2019t that weird – was it?<\/p>\n
Smoked Salmon Ice Cream \u2013 talk about getting your main course and dessert in one helping. Other creations from this unusual homemade ice cream parlour in Queens include beer ice cream (definitely worth a taste) and ice cream with chocolate covered crisps and fudge \u2013 all together!<\/p>\n
Garlic Ice Cream \u2013 sounds revolting but one really shouldn\u2019t judge until you\u2019ve tried it. This unusual ice cream combination is served not with any type of pudding but . . . wait for it . . . as a sauce for fillet steak.\u00a0 I wonder what they eat for dessert.<\/p>\n
Horse meat Ice Cream \u2013 apparently the locals love it, ice cream with lumps of raw horse meat, only in Japan. This is a real favourite in the Tokyo markets apparently.<\/p>\n
